Academy Scout (Local)

The local Academy scouting team is responsible for identifying and monitoring players either from grassroots or other Academies in the local area. They will complete reports on players and share information with other Academy staff to develop a range of player intelligence across the local area.

There is a particular interest for us to recruit within the following teams:

- Grassroots - South East London, Surrey, Hampshire (U7 - U10)

- Grassroots - South East London, North & East London (U11 - U14)

- Academy - East London, South London (U11 - U14)

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- To manage your individual weekend schedule and regularly attend fixtures within your region or across your phase.

- To complete reports on players all players with potential across your region and phase.

- Network with other local scouts to share information on potential target players.

- To keep Local Recruitment Managers informed of high potential players across within their area or age phase.

- To support with the ongoing communication to the families of players within our TID programmes and on trial as and when required.

- To support the delivery of Talent ID programmes and events as and when required.

- Participate in scouting team meetings to further discuss succession planning and their identified target players.

- To attend department meetings and participate in all CPD and required safeguarding training when appropriate.

SAFEGUARDING

Fulham Football Club acknowledges that everyone has a responsibility for the wellbeing and safety of children, young people

and adults at risk who are under the Club’s care or utilising the Club’s facilities.

As part of Fulham Football Club’s commitment to providing a safe environment for children and adults at risk the Club

requires all staff in child, young person and ‘adult at risk’ facing roles:

• To be clear about the clubs responsibilities when running activities for these groups;

• Will have read and understood the suite of safeguarding policies including safeguarding children policy, adults at risk

policy, anti-bullying policy, whistleblowing and equality policy;

• Understand and promote staff and players code of conduct;

• Will understand how to refer a concern;

• To be consistent role models;

• To complete the Fulham safer Working Practice Workshop as part of induction and the FA Safeguarding Children

workshop; and

• To monitor repeated incidents of poor behaviour and liaise with their DSO or Head of Safeguarding.
