THE POSITION

These are your key tasks:

  • Define the future strategy, vision and roadmap of TMS (Transfer Matching System) and other systems used by the Football Regulatory subdivision.
  • Liaise and set priorities with the relevant departments of the Football Regulatory subdivision.
  • Make sure that the new products and features requested by the Football Regulatory subdivision are properly integrated in TMS and other systems.
  • Act as the Single Point of Contact of the Football Regulatory subdivision with internal and external stakeholders for matters related to the systems, e.g. FIFA Technology Product Manager.
  • Liaise with the key Football Regulatory stakeholders to define the business requirements and ensure coherence of the requirements, for implementation by FIFA Technology.
  • Manage, together with the FIFA Technology Product Manager, the Product backlog items according to the priority based on the overall product strategy.
  • Participate in scrum meetings and work closely with the FIFA Technology Product Manager.
  • Get detail level of requirements from stakeholders and/or users and specify acceptance criteria per user story
  • Prioritize the requirements raised by the different Football Regulatory areas and execute control and acceptance tests for critical changes.
  • Liaise, advise and coordinate with teams managing other FIFA technical solutions used by or related to Football Regulatory, to ensure their feature roadmaps are aligned and cohesive.
  • Communicate with external stakeholders operating technical solutions integrated with Football Regulatory solutions, e.g. national associations and external entities, and involve them in the change process.
  • Act as an ambassador to ensure that all internal and external stakeholders are kept up-to-date with progress and new features of the product, building and maintaining a relationship to get feedback and proposals.
  • Provide support in the definition of projects and strategy to the Director of Football Regulatory and the Head of Department.

The specific competencies we require for this position are:

  • University degree in Computer Science, Engineering or similar relevant field
  • Project management certifications an asset
  • From 5 to 8 years experience in product ownership or management
  • Good understanding of football law, the international transfer system, its regulatory framework and the TMS platform is an asset
  • Advanced knowledge of Freshdesk or other ticketing tools
  • In-depth knowledge of Agile processes and principles, in particular Scrum
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and DevOps, JIRA or similar
  • Profound knowledge of the different web-based platforms used by FIFA, particularly the FIFA TMS.
