About the Role:

The Data Analyst will be responsible for processing, designing, and presenting solutions to help OEG with data driven decision making. The Data Analyst will work with subject matter experts as well as business and operational leaders to determine requirements, define key performance indicators and develop solutions to provide insights for business problems. Through the collection, examination, and analysis of complex data you will ensure that the insights are understood by all stakeholders to drive results.

Your Focus in this Role:

  • Work with modern data platforms
  • Work with departments within the organization to understand their business and enable effective solution design
  • Support various departments in ensuring data input accuracy
  • Develop data solutions that provide mission-critical information to our internal customers
  • Design and develop data visualization solutions that present impactful information
  • Lead workshops with internal customers to capture requirements and translate them into solution designs
  • Have the opportunity to develop your problem solving and leadership skills
  • Help shape the future of our Data and Analytics practices

Who You Are:

  • You take an open, collaborative, positive-minded approach to professional work and embrace the challenge in learning how a truly unique industry operates;

  • You have the ability to deliver presentations on focused topics to both technical and non-technical audiences;

  • You have a talent for building great working relationships at all levels within an organization

Education, Experience and Skills:

  • 2+ years of professional development experience;
  • A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Commerce, or equivalent diploma;
  • Experience designing and implementing data visualization solutions preferably in Power BI;
  • Significant fluency in SQL;
  • Experience working in a data warehousing function, including experience with data warehousing tools, technologies and approaches;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Azure and AWS BI technologies is a strong asset;
