The Ticket Operations Clerical Assistant will provide administrative support for the Ticket Operations department by assisting with various administrative and non-ticket order processing duties. This role as directed by the Ticket Operations management team will work closely with the Ticket Operations leadership staff in assisting with general office administrative duties, business research, ticket packaging, and general staff communication.

Over the course of these duties, the entry level ticketing assistant will be provided the opportunity to experience the daily functions of a professional sports ticket operations department and support the ticket office management team. This role will directly assist the leadership team in providing exceptional customer services, industry best practices research, as well as maximizing office efficiencies. Candidates must be experienced with internet and web-based browsers/searches and the Microsoft Office suite, as well as having excellent communication skills.

This is a part-time position, based out of the Ford Field stadium located in Downtown Detroit.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

The Ticket Operations Clerical Assistant position will have daily responsibilities including, without limitation, the following:

  • Assist with office clerical duties, i.e. data entry, updating informational spreadsheets, filing, general office work
  • Aid in the preparation of the box office for event coverage needs; including outfitting supplies, signage placement, and other event centric setup duties as required
  • Complete business practice research as assigned by Ticket Operations leadership team
  • Maintain organization of tasks and event documents.

NONESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Ability to work well with people; must have exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Attendance and punctuality are imperative, as well as adjusting to a flexible schedule to accommodate meeting the minimum requirement of 3-day schedule availability during standard business hours.
  • Maintain professionalism when communicating with internal and external contacts
  • Must be accurate and efficient with ability to meet deadlines
  • Will accept other responsibilities and duties required by the supervisor consistent with the objectives and essential functions of this position. Such responsibilities shall be incorporated into the position description if they are ongoing.

WHAT’S REQUIRED:

  • Exceptional customer service, interpersonal, and writing skills.
  • Experience and training in sales, cash handling, or banking, whether telephone, retail or professional, very desirable.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
  • A high degree of technological competence and point of sale experience required.
  • A valid Driver’s License and a good driving record
  • Will adjust schedule as needed to meet work goals and time constraints.

WHAT’S PREFERRED:

  • College degree
  • Supervisory experience
