We are excited to hire a Communications & Community Impact Intern for the 2024 football season! This position will assist the communications & community impact departments, dual-reporting to Sr. Manager of Strategic Communications and Director of Community Impact. This individual will assist in key functions and collaborations across the organization helping the overall Broncos’ communications and community impact efforts.

Responsibilities Include:
Contribute to the team’s strategic communications initiatives by:

  • Aiding the credential fulfillment process to ensure timely distribution of media credentials.
  • Being a resource in pre-promotion of sponsorship, marketing and community impact initiatives.
  • Crafting compelling and engaging content for internal communications and press releases.
  • Conducting research on industry trends.
  • Research local/national media outlets and resources to build press lists.


Assist Denver Broncos Community Impact with Denver Broncos Foundation grantmaking and programmatic responsibilities:

  • Maintain information, tracking and reporting of Foundation and team philanthropic efforts in grants management system.
  • Support Denver Broncos Foundation grants administration, including MOUs, grants payments, and grantee communications.
  • Support Community Grant Program administration, tracking and communications efforts.
  • Support logistics for and attend off-site community events.


Assist the communications department with day-to-day responsibilities by:

  • Coordinating the organization and distribution of daily executive news summaries.
  • Assisting with recording and transcribing media availabilities.
  • Performing administrative tasks as necessary for the department.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Completed a bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university
  • 1+ years of related public relations and/or community impact experience
  • Experience in the use of a PC, including knowledge of Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop)

Skills Test:

  • A timed skills tests will be administered during the interview process


Preferred Skills and Ability:

  • Strong writing skills and understanding of AP Style
  • Reliable transportation
  • Problem-solving skills, attention to detail and capacity to thrive in pressure situations
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of audiences
  • Must be able to handle confidential, privileged, and/or sensitive information carefully and with sensitivity
  • Customer service experience in a professional setting
  • Ability to work flexible hours (early mornings, late evenings, weekends)
  • Knowledge of analytic tools


In accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, this position pays $18.29/hour. This position will work 40+ hours a week with overtime starting July 2024 and ending two weeks after the 2024 football season. This position will be required to work game days and/or events outside of a normal working hours as needed.

This position will be located at the Denver Broncos Training Center in Englewood, CO.
