Community Assistant – 50/50 Raffle

POSITION SUMMARY:

Assist in the management of the 50/50 Raffle program. Coordinate the game day responsibilities and contribute in the development, implementation of strategies, and programs to achieve positive and productive relationships between the Colorado Rockies and our raffle partners. Provide assistance with the operation of the Family Room and youth baseball and softball initiatives.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

50/50 Raffle

  • Assist in the development of strategic planning to grow the 50/50 Raffle.
  • Coordinate volunteers credential request and distribution.
  • Implement training program for raffle volunteers.
  • Manage the kiosk and staffing locations.
  • Coordinate in-game promotion of the raffle.
  • Manage our relationship with raffle partners on behalf of the club.
  • Manage raffle equipment.
  • Greet and assist winners with claim forms.

Community Affairs

This position is responsible for various duties in support of existing programs and initiatives in the Community Affairs department. Duties include and are not limited to participation in community relations events such as baseball clinics, youth baseball/softball initiatives and charity drives. The position is also responsible for support and assistance to the Rockies school visitation program, the Coors Field Tour program and during the baseball season, and the players’ family room.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • 1-2 years' experience supporting community affairs and/or non profit industry
  • Must be comfortable working with technical and creative tools such as Canva, Photoshop, Excel, and any analytical experience (Tableau) is a plus
  • Must be able to perform physical activities indoors/outdoors which may require lifting, repetitive bending/reaching and running.
  • Possess the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks concurrently.
  • Must have excellent customer service skills with a high level of comfort speaking in front of large groups.
  • Must possess the ability to work effectively with a broad range of people both inside and outside the Rockies.
  • Must have the ability to maintain a professional working relationship with players and player families.
  • Professional image and demeanor with consistent, punctual, and regular attendance
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and organization.

SALARY RANGE:

  • $18.29 per hour. This is a temporary status, part-time position not eligible for all company benefits

WORK SCHEDULE:

  • Must be able to work flexible hours including nights and weekends.
  • Must be able to work all home games.
