Assistant, Graphic Designer

POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for assisting the Graphic Designer in the collaboration and production of all creative and design requests for all areas of the organization. Projects include print, social, digital design and brand development.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for assisting the Graphic Designer in creating the overall organizational campaign direction.
  • Focus on ticket sales as a top priority, producing a wide range of templates and one-off graphics for print/digital ads, website promotions, ballpark signage, billboards, posters/banners, logos, magazine layouts, TV Endcards, and more.
  • Provide creative and design support to all departments across the organization including, but not limited to, Promotions, Merchandising, Corporate Partnerships, Community Relations, Ballpark Operations, and Public Relations.
  • Develop ongoing creative content for all Social Media platforms.
  • Understanding of organizational goals and priorities.
  • Understanding of each department’s functions and needs.
  • Assist in designing collateral, online content, and signage for special events throughout the year such as Rockiesfest, holidays, and VIP events.
  • Prioritize and manage multiple projects within budget restrictions.
  • Stay on task ensuring projects are completed in a timely manner.
  • Must be proficient in Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Powerpoint, and Acrobat
  • Have a good understanding of design principles.

OTHER DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Team Player: Must be willing to help in all aspects of the department and organization, especially as it relates to creative content development, events, ticketing/marketing initiatives and administrative needs.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Portfolio and/or collection of prior, relevant work required.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience with Adobe Creative Cloud (including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) & Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent design, typography, color and infographic skills to illustrate brand experiences.
  • Knowledge of digital and print production.
    • Writing/editing skills and baseball knowledge a plus; ability to multi-task while having time management; attention to detail a must.
    • Experience with motion graphics is a plus
  • Strong communication skills, willingness to take constructive criticism and learn from it.
  • Spanish speaker/writer a plus.
    • Team player with strong organizational skills, working within a file-sharing environment.
  • Professional image and demeanor; consistent, punctual and regular attendance.

WORK SCHEDULE:

  • Hours generally 8 a.m.-5 p.m., Monday-Friday, with some longer hours on occasion. This is an onsite in-office position.

SALARY RANGE:

  • Annual salary range of $50,000 - $55,000. This is a regular status, full-time position eligible for all company benefits including but not limited to Health Insurance (medical, dental, vision), Retirement, and accrued time off (Vacation/ Sick/ Holiday).
