The Rapids Digital department manages all digital assets for Colorado Rapids Soccer Club, one of the founding clubs in Major League Soccer. This includes ColoradoRapids.com, the team’s space within the MLS App, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and a share of the weekly email communication. The department acts as the primary news & information outlet for the club and their goal is to amplify the brand and ethos of the club 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The group’s goal is to tell the story of the club like nobody else can, focusing specifically on visual content.

As part of the Rapids Digital department, the Digital Intern will assist in content creation for the team’s social media platforms as well as the website, live gameday coverage and a variety of organizational tasks, such as scheduling social posts, tagging content and tracking performance metrics.

Examples of work performed:

  • Assist in creating engaging content for team’s social media platforms.
  • Generate multimedia content (written, photo, video), highlighting team news, player features and more.
  • Utilize social media management tools (e.g., Later, Meta Business Suite) to assist in scheduling social posts, and ensure consistent content delivery.
  • Monitor scheduled posts to ensure accuracy, relevance, and optimal timing for maximum reach and engagement.
  • Assist in live coverage of match days, including pre-match buildup, in-game updates, and post-match interviews.
  • Utilize social media analytics tools to track performance metrics, including reach, engagement and follower growth.
  • Tag content and create relevant lists within analytics platform for optimal reporting.
  • Assist in monitoring industry trends and competitor analysis to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Contribute to brainstorm sessions and bring fresh and innovative content ideas to the table.

Qualifications

  • Minimum
    1. Currently Enrolled in related degree
    2. High School or GED
    3. Experience with basic production equipment.
    4. Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
  • All Colorado Interns are required to attend all KSE Internship Program hosted events that occur during business hours. If unable to attend due to work, school or unforeseen circumstance, the Intern must inform the Internship Program Committee.
  • All Interns are required to participate in the KSE Mentorship Program by meeting with assigned Mentor in person or virtually.
  • Please note: This position cannot work more than 29 hours per week.

Compensation

  • Base hourly range $18.29 per hour
