Summary Description

The Community Relations department is looking to welcome a highly motivated and organized individual to join us as the Community Relations (Youth Football) summer intern. The individual will be responsible for assisting the youth football program in regards to all Cleveland Browns youth football summer camps, clinics, programs and ancillary events.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the department’s mission and objectives.
  • Coordinate inventory management of Cleveland Browns youth football equipment.
  • Proactively capture metrics for programs/initiatives to help generate recaps/reports.
  • Assist in implementing various Browns Youth Football and NFL initiatives throughout the summer.
  • Coordinate the daily on-site camp registration process, including but not limited to, check-in, waiver collection and shirt distribution
  • Assist with Cleveland Browns Adapted Football League programs and events
  • Maintain photo galleries; archive and track media coverage from recent community engagement events/programs.
  • Assist with the preparation of event materials for youth football summer camps.
  • Produce written content for the department in the form of recaps, creative writing and email communication.
  • Assist with developing content for social media and routine communication both internally and externally.
  • Provide positive customer service with knowledge of core values of the Browns organization.
  • Increase awareness of Community Relations efforts through support of Browns resources and internal procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Represent the Cleveland Browns in a professional, positive and appropriate manner.
  • Strong writing and computer skills.
  • Experience planning and implementing youth camps and clinics is a plus.
  • Attention to detail, proven ability to problem solve and act with a sense of urgency.
  • Efficient with Microsoft Office.
  • Flexible schedule, available, evenings, weekends and holidays.
  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s program with junior level status or higher from an accredited university.
  • Ability to carry and lift heavy items (70-80 lbs.)
  • Strong social media knowledge.
  • Must be willing to complete and pass USA Football’s Youth Coach Certification course.
