Reports to: VP of Productions & Promo Events
FLSA: Salary,Exempt

Job Summary:

This position will guide the organization’s effort in producing business-driving, fan-engaging events with an elevated emphasis on production and design. They will lead the efforts of Game Presentation and Promotional Events through the course of the MLB home season and ancillary events throughout the calendar year. Collaborate within Communications & Marketing to meet brand messaging throughout elements of all projects.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead full-time staff within Game Presentation & Promotional Events
  • Oversee in the management of departmental budget and administration
  • Development, review and approve production deliverables
  • Produce live games and special events such as but not limited to Redsfest, including look & feel, programming, lighting and technical design
  • Work with Game Presentation and Promotional Events to elevate the fan experience in Great American Ball Park related to pregame & postgame events, as well as in-game entertainment
  • Help ensure production facility is maintained and equipment is current with industry standards
  • Lead, facilitate and help originate organizations video, motion graphics, animations and other visually engaging content for all Reds events and games
  • Assist in the programming of in-game content for all electronic boards, video and audio outputs
  • Assist in the development of overall show look/style and ensure production continuity with Reds branding guidelines
  • Assist in the development of feature ideas for game inventory and work with Corporate Sales to insure clients objectives are met with continued emphasis on fan entertainment
  • Develop event timelines, event maps/floorplans as necessary
  • Facilitate relationships with third-party vendors who work as extensions of the Reds event staff
  • Work closely with events such as Redsfest, the Reds Caravan, Reds Hall of Fame Induction Weekend & Induction Gala and more to elevate the level of content and design in each event
  • Help oversee the creative process of scoreboard and video productions
  • Attend creative input meetings alongside Creative Servies & Social Media to discuss Reds branding directions
  • Assist other departments to address their video production needs including maintaining successful intra-and inter-departmental relationships
  • Serve as a mentor to staff in each department, and assist in developing additional training for staff members to further their career path development
  • Help oversee departmental stewardship of historical assets including media archives
  • Serve as a Game Producer, alongside others, within the Reds Control Room during home games as needed


Experience, Education and Licensure:

  • Bachelor degree in television, video, communications, new media is recommended.
  • Eight to ten years experience in entertainment management, live production management or comparable creative department management preferred.
  • Experience within the sports, events and music industries is beneficial.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong organizational skills;
  • Creative individual who can work in a collaborative team environment;
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including written and verbal skills;
  • Extensive knowledge of production facility design and engineering concepts;
  • Awareness of current technological advancements;
  • Strong background in direct marketing;
  • Expertise in developing communications for a variety of media;
  • Demonstrate proficiency with various graphic and motion graphic software and multi-camera video production equipment;
  • Demonstrate experience editing in a non-linear Adobe Premiere platform;
  • Preferably highly proficient with Photoshop, After Effects and, preferably, Adobe CC applications;
  • Working knowledge of Pro Tools or Audition audio editing platform a plus.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite a plus.
  • Strategic planning skills with an ability to think ahead over a 12-24 month time period;
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities;
  • Problem analysis and problem resolution at both a strategic and functional level;
  • Must be able to work well with others and solve problems within a fast-paced, deadline-oriented, and high-energy environment.
  • Video Editing & Moton Design background a plus.


Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be willing to work evenings and weekends and is may be exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time.
