Job Title: Reds Youth Academy Administrator

Department: Reds Community Fund
Reports To: Director, Reds Youth Academy
FLSA: Hourly, Non-Exempt, Part-Time

Job Purpose:

  • Performs essential office support activities for a unit/department, such as answering phones and directing calls, greeting visitors, answering questions, and performing routine clerical, data entry, and word processing work as assigned.
  • Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Manage all departmental communication, including inter-departmental work orders, meeting requests, etc.
  • Assist department with office organization and day-to-day communication
  • Assist with day-to-day oversight of the intern program and deployment
  • Assist with the creation and management of the Community Fund’s database(s)
  • Assist with marketing elements such as website, newsletters and social media activity
  • Assist with communication with outreach program participants and families
  • Attend other Community Fund and community events and activities as needed
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Other duties as assigned


Experience, Education, and Licensure:

  • Associate degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • One to three years of experience as an Administrative Assistant or equivalent required
  • Previous experience working within professional baseball preferred.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Candidate must possess the ability to multi-task and work effectively under pressure
  • Strong organization and writing skills
  • Candidate should have the ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Teams, Outlook, Word and Excel is necessary
  • Must be reliable, dependable, and flexible


Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to sit; use hands; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear; occasional lifting and pulling are necessary.

Work Environment:
Work is typically performed in a standard interior/office work environment; however, the employee may have “outreach” responsibilities where the employee may be exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time.
