The Cincinnati Bengals are seeking a qualified Manager of Social Media to help grow our channels through high-quality content creation and distribution. The ideal candidate would be proficient with all social media platforms, creating KPI dashboards and dedicated to fostering relationships with Bengals fans.
This is a management-level role for a professional with 3-4 years of experience in sports-focused social media.


Responsibilities

  • Reporting to the Bengals Director of Content, the Manager of Social Media will manage day-to-day posting and content aggregation on the Bengals Social Media platforms
  • Manage a team of social programmers
  • Write social media copy
  • Monitor the daily social conversations of fans, influencers, other brands and teams to identify trends and best practices
  • Engage with local and national social media trends
  • Assist with graphic design and video needs for different social channels
  • Create KPI dashboards, develop thoughtful insights, and adapt the content strategy according to emerging trends
  • Facilitate the creation of video and graphics with the Bengals content team, the League LCC program, and NFL 33
  • Ideate short-form videos to be used on Bengals Social channels
  • Document community events
  • Log and archive Bengals content using media asset management software, Iconik
  • Other duties as assigned


Qualifications

  • 3-4 years of experience operating the social media channels of a sports organization
  • Bachelor's degree in journalism, marketing or communications
  • Strong understanding of the NFL and its offseason events
  • Strong writing skills with knowledge of AP Style
  • Experience in ideating and creating social media content
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and Google Docs
  • Excellent communication skills and a proven ability to collaborate with teammates
  • Must be willing to work nights, weekends and holidays


Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in journalism, marketing or communications
  • Experience working with an NFL team
  • Photography experience (DSLR & Camera Phone)
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Premiere)
