Job Description:
Chicago White Sox Charities (CWSC), the non-profit arm of the Chicago White Sox, is looking for two (2) dependable, enthusiastic, highly-motivated, and hardworking day of game staff with positive attitudes. Individuals will promote and run Game Day Auction, game-used memorabilia sales and other miscellaneous events as assigned. This position is located exclusively in the Charities Corner Charities Corner on the 100-level concourse, the main hub for CWSC at Rate Field.

During every home game at Rate Field, White Sox fans can bid on unique autographed memorabilia and special experiences, with new items on display each homestand. Each year, CWSC also designs a unique, limited edition bobblehead that is for sale at the ballpark (and online). These individuals will run and manage all sales in the Charities Corner. These responsibilities are including but not limited to monitoring and distributing auction items, selling game-used memorabilia, responding to customer inquiries on fundraising programs, selling the limited edition bobblehead and assisting the manager and assistant manager as needed. These individuals will also be responsible for collecting and labeling baseballs from the authenticator in-game to sell real time.

Applicants must:

  • Be 18 years of age or older
  • Have good customer service skills
  • Be comfortable with technology
  • Be comfortable talking to people and interacting with fans
  • Understand the timing/pacing of baseball
  • Be available to work games throughout the season – must be available to work at least 50% of all games to split with another individual.

Program Details:

  • Candidates must be available to work at least 60% of White Sox home games (including nights and weekends)
  • Able to work on average 4 hours per game
  • Position is part-time seasonal, including potential postseason
  • Uniform shirt is provided
  • Fundraising initiatives will run from gates open (90 minutes prior to game time) until the end of the 9th inning unless otherwise specified
