OUR STORY
THE CHICAGO CUBS FRANCHISE is a charter member of Major League Baseball’s National League. Since 1876, the team has won the National League pennant 17 times and was the first team to win back-to-back World Series titles in the 1907 and 1908 seasons. In 2016, the Chicago Cubs made history again when the team won its first World Series in 108 years, ending the longest championship drought in North American sports. Known for its ivy-covered outfield walls, hand-operated scoreboard and famous Marquee sign, iconic Wrigley Field has been the home of the Chicago Cubs since 1914, making it the second oldest ballpark in Major League Baseball.


HOW YOU’LL CONTRIBUTE:

This position is responsible for supporting the production for Chicago Cubs baseball games. This role will focus assisting with asset management for Chicago Cubs games and day of game communication. This position will support Cubs games as well as administrative duties in the control room on non-game days. As part of Cubs Productions, this role will be responsible for delivering best-in-class service to all internal and external clients.


THE DAY-TO-DAY:

  • Support the control room setup and production elements preparation for game days
  • Perform various production duties as needed, including but not limited to:
    • Asset Management and Quality Control
    • Clip Playback for video board
    • Edit highlights and recaps
    • Research statistics
    • Logging video clips
    • Basic Audio Mixing
  • Assist with graphics projects, including but not limited to custom creation, photos & headshots and updating from templates
  • Proactively handle issues as they arise and troubleshoot emerging problems on and before game day
  • Support Cubs Productions team in projects and process enhancements as it relates to day to day needs of the organization
  • In all aspects of job performance, demonstrate a service-oriented attitude along with outstanding guest service skills
  • Implement and execute customer service initiatives, Wrigley Field policies and staff procedures
  • Serve as Control Room Producer for Cubs Productions team when necessary


WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

  • 1-2 years of experience in a game day/production setting for a large-scale, multi-purpose venue
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Premiere, After Effects and Photoshop
  • Basic knowledge of Ross, Daktronics, Evertz equipment
  • Willingness to work non-traditional hours including evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities and projects
  • A team player, with positive attitude and strong internal and external customer service philosophy
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to lift and/or carry 15-35 pounds


WHAT SETS YOU APART:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Familiarity with cinema style cameras, preferably Sony FS7/FS5
  • Experience with product management software (Monday.com)
  • Ability to operate under pressure and meet tight deadlines
