Overview

The Associate Development Program is a paid 12-month full-time (temporary) experience designed for new or recent graduates who are looking to grow their professional sports experience. The format allows for structured professional development and hands-on learning.

The Digital Product Associate will play a crucial role in supporting the efforts of the Digital Media team at the Chicago Bears. This associate program offers a unique opportunity to collaborate on a wide range of projects spanning website design and management, app design, email design, and digital advertising. This position will be out of our corporate office in Lake Forest, IL. The commitment requires approximately 40 hours per week during the NFL season (beginning with Training Camp) plus overtime to cover selected games. During the offseason, weekly time commitments will vary.

Program Dates: Monday, June 3, 2024 – Friday, May 23, 2025

Responsibilities

  • Conduct daily maintenance tasks for web and app properties in coordination with internal stakeholders.
  • Support the trafficking of ROS advertising across the Bears’ digital platforms.
  • Assist in development of forms and managing user data.
  • Assist in the creation of a personalized and dynamic in-app experience.
  • Design, code, and send weekly email newsletters to a large database of fans.
  • Support Digital Media game day efforts from content to utility
  • Participate in quality assurance testing to ensure smooth functionality and user experience.
  • Assist in monitoring basic analytics data to gain insights into user behavior.
  • Provide weekly share outs with metrics and feedback on digital properties from an end-user perspective.
  • Support the execution of vision and strategy under the guidance of club leadership.
  • Help with market research initiatives to identify opportunities for product enhancement.
  • Stay informed about basic digital marketing trends and tools.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in front-end developing (HTML/CSS/JS).
  • Knowledge of Google Ad Manager.
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Adobe Analytics is a plus.
  • Sports industry experience preferred but not required. 
  • Must have the ability to speak, read, and write effectively in English.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic technical knowledge of website, app, and email marketing best practices.
  • Working knowledge of content management systems.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite. Photoshop and Illustrator preferred; additional experience is a plus.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and to be adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work extended hours and flexible schedule including nights and weekends as needed.
