A professional basketball team and state-of-the-art arena/entertainment venue that specializes in creating memorable experiences for each guest we interact with. Job Summary:

If you have an interest in delving into the intricacies of Atlanta, understanding the challenges faced by its communities, and analyzing systemic patterns and trends, the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) internship is worth considering. As a DEI intern, you will play a crucial role in collecting data to contribute to the broader narrative of Atlanta. The internship involves exploring the city's history and its journey to the present, dissecting data that contributes to shaping the narrative of our city. Additionally, you will examine the DEI journey in corporate spaces and contribute to transforming our perspectives on this domain.

Furthermore, the intern will actively contribute to the planning and execution of the She Leads Women’s Empowerment Summit and provide support in facilitating our Cultural Listening Labs. These initiatives serve as avenues for our organization to forge profound connections with diverse demographics across our city. Relocation and housing expenses are the responsibility of the student intern. (Please note, this role must live and work out of the Atlanta, GA area.)

Responsibilities:

  • Data collection, analysis and reporting
  • City narrative and corporate DEI journey exploration
  • Event planning and execution
  • Workshop facilitation

Qualifications:

  • Ability to collect, analyze, and interpret data
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong research skills
  • Ability to contribute to the planning and execution of events and small group discussions
  • Strong ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams
  • Demonstrates ability to take initiative and be proactive

Education and Experience:

  • Must be enrolled in an accredited HBCU College or University as a rising Junior and Senior
  • Field of Study: Marketing, Business, Communications, and Analytics
  • Minimum 2.75 GPA

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.
