JOB SUMMARY:
The NBA’s Utah Jazz are looking for an energetic and charismatic Public Address Announcer to bring the gameday experience to life from inside Delta Center! We are searching for someone who has extensive knowledge about the NBA’s players and personalities, a passionate and dynamic voice, and a love for basketball. As the official in-arena voice of Utah Jazz Basketball, the PA Announcer will command the microphone, energize fans, and amplify the excitement of every play, every bucket, and every buzzer-beater. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Serve as the in-arena PA Announcer for all Utah Jazz home games and related events. Games would include Salt Lake City Summer League, and all preseason, regular, and post-season home Utah Jazz games.
- Key PA duties include introducing starting line-ups and calling live game action.
- Add personal flair and enthusiasm to in-arena announcements, creating a dynamic and engaging atmosphere while maintaining professionalism and clarity.
- Must have a high aptitude to take direction in a fast-paced environment.
- Skilled in ad-libbing commentary, delivering spontaneous, engaging, and relevant content in real-time during live events throughout a game.
- Must be able to take constructive feedback and make improvements where needed.
- Must have an extensive knowledge of the NBA and its players and coaches to be able to call the game with accuracy and pace.
- Knowledge of, and ability to learn and pronounce all visiting and home players’ and coaches' names accurately.
- Required availability on evenings and weekends, including all Utah Jazz home games and events.
- This is a part-time, nonbenefitted, seasonal position. Pay is based on a game rate.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5+ years of public address or vocal experience in live sports and entertainment settings is mandatory.
- Extremely savvy with knowledge of the NBA, its players, rules, and regulations.
- Ability to enunciate clearly, accurately, and project to a large crowd.
- Must possess strong attention to detail, especially pertaining to pronunciation and announcing accurate game action in order to preserve the integrity of the game and its players.
- A strong, distinct voice is required.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- This person must be able to communicate and express themselves both written and verbally.
- This person must be able to observe, inspect, estimate and assess.
- This person must be able to sit, stand, bend, walk, and climb stairs for long periods of time.
- This person must be able to lift 20 lbs.
- Reliable Transportation required.
