The FA are looking for a highly organised, proactive Paralegal with an excellent eye for detail to support the FA Group Legal & Governance Division, predominately The FA's Regulatory Advocates team.

What will you be doing?

  • Supporting The FA's Regulatory Advocates team on a range of matters including:
    • Monitoring the Regulatory Legal inbox
    • Issuing Misconduct charges
    • Managing replies to Misconduct charges
    • Putting Hearing bundles together
    • Facilitating Misconduct hearings
    • Providing witness support and/or liaising with witnesses
    • Diarising deadlines and/or hearing dates
    • Case management and case allocation
    • Record keeping
    • Liaising with external stakeholders
    • Working collaboratively with all relevant internal stakeholders
    • Carrying out conflict of interest checks
    • Ensuring data protection compliance across publishes Written Reasons

  • Collating responses to Data Subject Access Requests and ensuring data protection compliance;
  • Document review and other support for regulatory and litigation matters;
  • Legal research;
  • Providing ad hoc support in relation to the FA Group Legal & Governance other responsibilities; and
  • Executes additional tasks as required in order to meet FA Group changing priorities.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures to ensure the highest standards of health, safety and wellbeing can be maintained.

What are we looking for?

Essential for the role:

  • Law degree (or non-legal degree plus law conversion qualification)
  • Previous Paralegal and/or administrative experience in a legal setting
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other members of the legal team
  • Excellent academic record
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to manage a busy caseload
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Ability to meet short deadlines
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word/Outlook/Excel/Adobe

Beneficial to have:

  • LPC or BPTC qualification (or equivalent)
  • Good understanding of Sports Law and litigation
  • Experience of managing stakeholders

Our Organisation

The Football Association [The FA] is the not-for-profit governing body of football in England. We currently work within a hybrid working model whereby the expectation is to work from your contractual location for part of the week, and as and when required by the team.
