The Manager, Event Security position plays a vital security operations role for all events at Tropicana Field and Al Lang Stadium including Major League Baseball, professional soccer, and special events including concerts, private events, and community sponsored events. The Manager, Event Security is a key leader in providing the finest fan and guest experience at our unique sports and entertainment venues.

Duties:

Lead security program and operations during Tampa Bay Rays home games and other stadium events at Tropicana Field
Lead security program and operations during Tampa Bay Rowdies matches and other stadium events at Al Land Stadium
Manage the Event Command Center
Manage relationship with third-party security provider
Develop security staffing plans for special events and private events
Manage event credential requirements and access
Help develop, enhance and document security procedures and protocols
Stay informed regarding security technology and best practices
Assist with emergency preparedness, drills, and training
Review and process security related invoices utilizing finance software
Assist in budget development and review
Oversee guest recovery initiatives related to security
Work closely with facilities and operations staff to maximize operational efficiencies during events
During the event planning process, collaborate with other departments to ensure organizational goals are met and initiatives are successful
Manage security assets such as screening technology and emergency preparedness equipment
Keep organizational leadership apprised of relevant information and critical incidents
Ensure compliance with all relevant certifications and best practices requirements

Position Qualifications:

At least 7 years of security and security management experience at professional sports venues or similar venues and/or combined relevant professional experience
Significant experience and training in security planning, screening operations, event operations, crowd management, and physical security
Experience and/or training with video management systems, access control and credentialing
Have high standards for safety and security while enhancing the fan experience.

Physical Demands and Environment:

This position often requires standing and walking
This position is generally located indoors with occasional exposure to outdoor warm temperature extremes
Stadium events are often noisy and crowded
This position requires evenings and weekends based on sports and event schedules
