Manager, Corporate Partnerships Sales

The Tampa Bay Rays Corporate Partnerships Sales Manager will be an extension of the organization in the community with the goal of forging relationships with local and national companies in effort to drive revenue by leveraging the Rays and Rowdies brands to help these companies achieve their independent goals

Responsibilities

  • Drive revenue by establishing new, long-term, multi-layered and fully integrated corporate partnerships across 3 properties including Tropicana Field, Al Lang Stadium and Charlotte Sports Park
  • Formulate strategic, long-term corporate partnerships for the New Ballpark & Historic Gas Plant Development
  • Cultivate relationships with current corporate partners and works towards the retention and growth of these partnerships
  • Contribute to the departments team-oriented culture in a positive manner on a consistent basis
  • Act as a face of our organization when attending a multitude of different networking and community events to enhance current partner relations and create new ones
  • Work to have the construct of our partnerships, both current and new, align with the processes, standards and overall goals of supporting departments and the organization as a whole
  • Look for incremental revenue verticals by way of new asset offerings, inventory management & anticipation of up and coming competitive categories
  • Provide input to the strategic discussions surrounding overall sales approach, categorical attacks & rate card construction
  • Develop data driven and aesthetically pleasing proposals by working in tandem with our Marketing Creative Services team and by effectively utilizing figures from YouGov, Relo Metrics/Trajecktory, SponsorUnited and other sources
  • Creatively work to find solutions as a part of our team dynamic when presented with internal & external obstacles
  • Successfully collaborate with other departments to generate multi-faceted partnerships that not only achieve the client’s goals but also meet the needs for our own organization
  • Use the ballparks, stadium and other tools at your disposal amplify touchpoints with current partners and prospects in effort to strengthen those relationships by providing unique experiences
  • Assist in the execution of all managed partnerships where appropriate
  • Track corporate partner activity and updates daily through KORE
  • Other duties as assigned.


The ideal candidate will have the following experience and qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Sports Management, Business or similar field preferred
  • At least three (3) years of corporate partnerships sales experience, preferably in sports
  • Ability to assimilate into a team environment
  • Uplifting contributor to team culture
  • Strong interpersonal & communication skills
  • Strong time management and prioritization skills
  • Knowledge of New Ballpark & Historic Gas Plant Development
  • Positive, confident, quick study, self-starter & innovative
  • Knowledge of Rays and Rowdies corporate partners
  • Proficiencies in Microsoft programs; Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, KORE, etc.
  • Experience with Relo Metrics/Trajecktory, YouGov & SponsorUnited
