Equipment Manager

The Tampa Bay Rowdies are seeking a full-time Equipment Manager to join their club, which plays in the USL Championship. This position will report to the Soccer Operations Manager and will be responsible in assisting all facets relating to the equipment operation of the first team. The Rowdies are looking for an individual who is detail-oriented, organized and able to maintain a strong working relationship with all players and members of the coaching staff.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead management of daily locker room operation, including all player and technical staff gear.
  • Manage and maintain inventory of all first-team related equipment, including on-field equipment.
  • Assist Technical Staff with daily on-field set up for training sessions.
  • Prepare home team locker room all Rowdies matches (home and away).
  • Prepare and manage all equipment ahead of road matches.
  • Apply all logo and numbers adequately to all necessary match kit, training gear, etc.
  • Lead daily laundry of all issued team gear for training and/or matches.
  • Keep equipment room at stadium and training facility in an orderly fashion.
  • Work with Soccer Operations Manager to order any necessary items for Training Facility and Stadium, not limited to snacks, beverages.
  • Work with visiting team to make sure Club abides by all needs for possible training sessions and/or Away Team locker room needs.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • Ability to lift and handle heavy boxes weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • 2-4 years’ experience in sports and/or other entertainment events.
  • Outstanding time management skills and inventory up-keep skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication combined with a professional demeanor.
  • Proficient experience with Microsoft Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook).
  • Ability to adapt to an ever-changing environment, while staying professional at all times.
  • Must be able to work evenings and weekends as required.
  • Proactive attitude with an ability to problem solve and work under pressure.
