Department: Team Operations (Baseball Operations)
Reports to: Clubhouse Manager
Start Date: March 20, 2025 (subject to change based off Major League Spring Training)
The Tampa Bay Rays are seeking excellent candidates to fill availabilities with our bat/ball staff for the 2025 season. Responsibilities include representing the Tampa Bay Rays in a professional and responsible way, performing on-field duties, assisting with clubhouse tasks under the direction of the clubhouse manager and maintaining a best-in-class locker room. This is a seasonal, part-time position that is paid by the hour. This position is outlined for the 2025 season. An invitation to return for 2026 is possible but not guaranteed.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and break down on-field pregame activities such as batting practice
- Work various positions on-field during the game in a safe and respectable manner
- Properly clean and store all equipment post-game
- Assist clubhouse staff with cleaning and laundry responsibilities throughout the day and after games
- Be available to assist with unloading team equipment as teams arrive to Steinbrenner Field

- Reliable transportation to the stadium when scheduled
- Willingness and availability to work the 2025 Rays baseball schedule and team unloads which will often consist of late nights, holidays, and weekends (schedule found at www.raysbaseball.com).
