Overview

Spurs Sports & Entertainment (SS&E) is seeking an experienced event security professional to join our family! The person in this role will maintain the policies and procedures that will protect our sports franchises, our employees, and guests. This role will report to the Senior Manager of Event Security and will assist in conducting security audits, development of procedures, and training to ensure effective and efficient security operations. Additionally, this role will also assist in the scheduling and payroll of the full and part-time security staff. Responsibilities

Key AREAS of Responsibility, Job Metrics and Competencies:

As the Manager of Event Security, you will be responsible for managing the events and the event security staff. This includes but is not limited to creating posting and briefing sheets, performing pre-event safety inspections, conducting briefings, listening, and resolving guest complaints and issues.

  1. Building the security service estimates based upon the event security requests from event promotors.
  2. Ensuring all event security staffing requests are fulfilled and properly scheduled.
  3. Reconciling the final event security service bills prior to submission for payment.
  4. Supervising the event security staff and responding to emergency situations.
  5. Assisting the Senior Manager Event Security, as needed.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Associate degree in a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 3 years supervisory, management and/or leadership experience.
  • 3 years security experience.
  • Ability to attain and maintain a State Security license.
  • Must have a flexible schedule to allow working long hours, including overnights, evenings, weekends and holidays.
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills with diverse staff, tenacious work ethnic and strong, written communication skills.
  • Proficient with computer programs and software, such as Microsoft Suite.
  • Possess attention to detail with high organizational skills to handle multiple tasks and adapt to change.
  • Ability to complete projects and resolve issues expeditiously, independently and with minimal oversight; proven experience showing initiative and good judgment.
