Job Summary:
As a Technology Operations Intern, you will play a vital role in the day-to-day operations of the Sacramento Kings IT department, supporting a range of events, from concerts to NBA games. Your contributions will be integral to our IT support ecosystem, involving tasks such as closing support tickets, assisting with software installations, onboarding new users, hardware deployment, expanding our documentation resources, data manipulation, and various special projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborating with hosting staff to analyze, document, and efficiently close IT support tickets.
Configuring and relocating employee workstations, laptops, event-specific hardware, and other IT equipment as required.
Preparing and updating documentation, ensuring it remains accurate and accessible.
Promptly responding to and resolving alerts within a collaborative team environment.
Assisting the Kings IT management with any other duties and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
Professionalism and a self-starting attitude, with the ability to work both as a team player and independently with minimal supervision.
Flexibility to work irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, to support event needs.
Exceptional phone skills, written and verbal communication skills, computer proficiency, and strong writing abilities.
General working knowledge of O365 and networking technologies.
Strong attention to detail, ensuring precision in all tasks.
Physical capability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs and comfort with working at heights.
To qualify for Kings University internships, you must be:
Currently enrolled in college or have graduated within 12 months
Able to commute to the downtown Sacramento office
Able to work 25 hours per week
Interns will be compensated $16.00 per hour and receive benefits such as California Paid Sick Leave, discounts on Sacramento Kings merchandise, and free parking.
