Kings University starts October 10, 2023, and runs through the 23-24 season!

Job Summary: Join our team as a Social Responsibility Intern and be an essential part of our mission during the 2023-24 NBA season. You will play a crucial role in supporting the Social Responsibility department by assisting in community donation requests, coordinating our charitable ticket program, and contributing to the success of our games and community events. In addition, you'll have the opportunity to engage with various aspects of our operations and gain valuable experience in social responsibility initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Social Responsibility team to solve challenges and implement initiatives throughout the season.
  • Respond to community donation requests promptly and effectively.
  • Maintain an organized donations database.
  • Provide weekly updates and recommendations to enhance our social responsibility efforts.
  • Curate the Social Responsibility Monthly Update to keep stakeholders informed.
  • Contribute to planning and executing activities during the 2023-2024 season, including game nights, artist features, community group integration, concourse programming, and other events.
  • Attend off-site community events to engage with the community through games, giveaways, and informative interactions.
  • Assist with event setup and breakdown.
  • Lead the organization and maintenance of storage inventory.
  • Manage the database of Social Responsibility merchandise inventory for donations and giveaways.
  • Track and organize Social Responsibility Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Organize deliverables for the monthly end-of-year impact report.

Qualifications:

  • While an educational foundation in business administration, communications, sports, nonprofit sectors, or philanthropy are a plus, we are primarily seeking candidates who are smart, passionate, and hardworking.

To qualify for Kings University internships, you must be:

  • Currently enrolled in college or have graduated within 12 months
  • Able to commute to the downtown Sacramento office
  • Able to work 25 hours per week

Interns will be compensated $15.50 per hour and receive benefits such as California Paid Sick Leave, discounts on Sacramento Kings merchandise, and free parking.
