Kings University starts October 15, 2024, and runs through the 24-25 season!
Job Summary: The primary responsibility of this position is to provide in-season assistance to the Partnership Marketing department in all areas including, but not limited to, partner activation, partner hospitality, and day-to-day business operations. The Activation Intern will be highly organized, professional, team-focused, passionate, collaborative, positive and be able to think on their feet.
Key Responsibilities:
Contribute to the department’s strategic goals through supporting team member requests and completing assigned tasks
Assist with planning, preparing and executing events in-arena and in the community
Aid in the brainstorming of strategies including unique activations, community tie ins, etc.
Utilize metric databases and assist in creation of PowerPoint deck presentations and recaps
Manage partnership assets, photo databases, and tracking documents
Participate in game-day responsibilities such as photography, client greeting and escorting, activation support and inventory management
Organize game day tracking documents and assist Account Managers with game-day preparation
Support Partnership Marketing team with client requests
Assist with partnership promotion prize and gifting fulfillment
Join bi-weekly meetings and support cross-departmental work
Various other projects and duties as assigned
Qualifications:
An interest in gaining experience in sponsorship, partnership activation, or experiential marketing
Strong organizational skills and resourcefulness
Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and anticipate projects
Must have in-depth working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Must have strong interpersonal communication skills and be service-oriented, committed to teamwork and catering to the customer
Capable of working extended hours such as nights, weekends, and holidays as necessary
To qualify for Kings University internships, you must be:
Currently enrolled in college or have graduated within 12 months
Able to commute to the downtown Sacramento office
Able to work 25 hours per week
Interns will be compensated $16.00 per hour and receive benefits such as California Paid Sick Leave, discounts on Sacramento Kings merchandise, and free parking.
