Kings University starts October 10, 2023, and runs through the 23-24 season!

Job Summary: The Stockton Kings are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Community Impact Intern dedicated to making a difference in our community. As an essential member of our Community team for the 2023-24 season, you'll play a pivotal role in responding to community donation requests, coordinating our charitable ticket program, supporting community events/programs, and fulfilling various related duties. This internship offers an immersive experience in the sports industry, equipping you with the skills needed to launch your career in this exciting field.

Key Responsibilities: Your role will involve collaborating closely with our Community department, prioritizing and managing projects such as Kids Club, Stockton Jr. Kings, and various community initiatives. Your responsibilities will encompass:

  • Efficiently organizing and tracking donations, memorabilia inventory, and distribution.
  • Offering creative insights and assisting the Community/Entertainment departments with projects.
  • Providing support during events or promotions, including nights and weekends as required.
  • Identifying opportunities to enhance our community engagement efforts.
  • Actively expanding the Stockton Kings' database through community involvement.
  • Assisting in staffing tables to promote community events and programs.
  • Building relationships with prospective customers through outbound communications.
  • Creating unique and memorable guest experiences while delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Willingness to serve as an ambassador for community nonprofits and foundation contacts.

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong writing, editing, and communication skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced team environment.
  • High motivation, goal-oriented mindset, and a strong desire to learn.
  • Customer-service-centric attitude, with the ability to engage with internal clients, vendors, and fans.
  • Flexibility to work a varied schedule, including weekdays, nights, and weekends.
  • Reliable transportation to travel between Sacramento and Stockton offices.
  • Physical ability to lift 25 lbs. or more for event setups and promotions.

To qualify for Kings University internships, you must be:

  • Currently enrolled in college or have graduated within 12 months
  • Able to commute to the downtown Sacramento office
  • Able to work 25 hours per week

Interns will be compensated $15.50 per hour and receive benefits such as California Paid Sick Leave, discounts on Sacramento Kings merchandise, and free parking.
