SUMMARY
This internship offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the digital fan experience by enhancing and maintaining the website and mobile app for a leading sports organization. The role focuses on UX/UI design improvements, real-time gameday updates, and digital content management to engage fans effectively. Interns will collaborate on innovative digital solutions, assist with user testing, and help craft email communications while gaining hands-on experience in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Assist in UX/UI design enhancements for the website and mobile app, focusing on user-friendly and engaging experiences.
- Lead the regular updates and maintenance of the website, ensuring accurate and timely content.
- Lead the regular updates and maintenance of the app, with a focus on optimizing functionality for gameday operations.
- Collaborate in crafting HTML-based email communications and implementing user-centric designs.
- Support user testing efforts to identify areas of improvement in digital products.
- Provide on-site digital updates during home games to ensure real-time information delivery to fans.
- Participate in brainstorming and implementing innovative digital solutions to enhance fan engagement.
- Writing and/or graphic design experience is preferred but not required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- College-level experience in UX/UI design, website or app development, or a related field (in-progress degrees are acceptable).
- Must be flexible to work evenings and weekends to attend Real Salt Lake, Utah Royals, and Monarchs games.
- Familiarity with wireframing, prototyping tools, and responsive design principles is a plus.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and work well under pressure.
- Strong collaboration skills with the ability to present ideas and incorporate feedback.
- Must be able to work 20–30 hours weekly.
- Must be able to pass a background check.
- Must have a good understanding of soccer and fan engagement trends.
- Reliable, organized, and excellent communication skills.
- Spanish bilingual ability is a plus.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The job requires regularly lifting/pushing up to 10 pounds and occasionally lifting/pushing more than 25 pounds or exerting heavy force, in a wide disparity or environmental conditions. The job involves standing, stooping, bending, lifting, pushing, typing, etc.
