Summary & Primary Functions:
The Mission of the Partnership Marketing team is to protect and maintain partnership revenue and increase profitability.
The Partnership Marketing team will contribute to profit growth by building relationships, creating and delivering value and making the partnership experience simple and fun. The primary measurement for the Partnership Marketing and Partnership Sales teams, collectively, is revenue generation and the ability to find partners to fund and support specific initiatives of the Pittsburgh Penguins and the Pittsburgh Penguins Foundation.
This position will have complete awareness of each partner’s objectives and work alongside all applicable team departments to develop and execute a plan that creates and drives business value for our partners. This position will personally ensure that the Penguins are the best business partner that each partner has, having a positive effect on every aspect of the partner’s business that we can touch.
Job Responsibilities:
- Build relationships with partner representatives at all levels – from C-suite to day-to-day team members
- Build internal relationships and ensure that each communication and interaction fosters a positive working environment. Be a leader in the area of collaboration
- Develop a deep understanding of each partner’s business goals and objectives
- Anticipate unspoken partner needs
- Inspire our team to develop innovative concepts and ideas that deliver value to partners, lead to partner activation of our marks and assets, and ensure every partner’s business objectives are met and exceeded
- Lead ideation sessions that deliver ideas and concepts
- Actively work with team to ensure ideas are executed
- Personally own each account, deliver value and meet objectives
- Maximize value of current assets, including B2B, activation and branding. Work with other departments in the organization and outside vendors to prove out ROI and other success measures for partners
- Create and execute a personal plan for upsell
- Execute seamless events
- Partner hosting at games, trips or non-hockey events
- Managing and executing promotional events and nights
- Executing in-arena promotions and coordinating logistics
- Collaborating with other teams and departments
- Collecting necessary assets from partners to ensure delivery of benefits
- Execute our renewal strategy as it relates to the individual partner list
- Work with other departments on product development
- Other duties as assigned
