Reports to: Senior Manager, Business Intelligence and Data Analytics

Job Description: The Pittsburgh Penguins are seeking a driven Business Intelligence Analyst passionate about data driven decision making. The position will contribute to key Business Intelligence and Analytics initiatives using data and technology and collaborate with other business operations stakeholders to analyze key business metrics. The position, with a mix of analytical and operational responsibilities, will focus primarily on ticket sales and fan data related initiatives to drive insights and identify revenue opportunities.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Use technical and statistical methods to develop key insights and processes to support decision making across different business units including ticket sales, CRM, sponsorship, marketing, digital and concessions/retail
- Utilize Tableau to create executive level dashboards and advanced reporting
- Analyze fan related data as it relates to demographics, psychographics, behavior and historical trends
- Develop and apply statistical models to business processes
- Perform ad-hoc analysis as needed
- Help facilitate A/B testing implementation and analysis
- Develop fan facing surveys and analyze survey data
- Maintain complex datasets and implement automated solutions
Candidates should possess the following qualifications:
- Technical Skills: Programming experience (SQL preferred, R/Python a plus)
- Familiarity with business intelligence platforms (e.g. Tableau, Power BI, Domo, Excel)
- Experience working in a data warehouse environment and/or with relational databases
- Strong presentation skills and the ability to effectively communicate findings from complex data analysis
- Previous professional experience in a consulting, analyst, or similar role required (internship or full-time position)
- Strong work ethic and professional decorum
