TITLE: MatchOperations Manager

DEPARTMENT: Live Events
REPORTS TO: Sr Competition Manager

FLSA: Salaried, Exempt

WHAT SETS YOU APART

The Match Operations Manager will oversee all operations elements related to MLS and NWSL matches, including but not limited to weather management, league submittals, locker room setup, field setup, gameday production packets and gameday production meetings.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage all aspects of gameday operations for MLS and NWSL.
  • Assist in managing gameday operations for MLS NEXT Pro and MLS Next as needed.
  • Create all gameday product packets for MLS, NWSL and MLS NEXT Pro
  • Coordinate and run all gameday production meetings with all internal departments for MLS, NWSL and MLS NEXT Pro.
  • Overseeset-up/tear-downfor all locker room and field of play elements to ensure compliance.
  • Monitor weather system for all MLS and NWSL events in conjunction with the Sr. Director of Security.
  • Responsible for creating and delivering all league-required submittals for MLS and NWSL by deadlines.
  • Stay current on league guidelines and ensure all games are operating in compliance with MLS or NWSL policies.
  • Address all noncompliance issues in a timely manner and create a plan of action for correcting items as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of MLS match operations experience (field & locker room setup, teardown, management).
  • Demonstrated knowledge of facility operations, customer service practices, emergency procedures, event services and events.
  • Must have computer skills in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to plan, coordinate and supervise activitiesinterns, volunteers, contractors, concessionaires and vendors.
  • Must have excellent organizational, interpersonal, problem solving, written and oral communication skills. 
  • Able to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks at one time.
  • Able to work flexible and sometimes demanding schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays.
