Intern, Partnership Management

Our Game Plan

The New York Islanders Hockey Club is one of the most iconic franchises in professional sports with a deeply passionate and loyal fanbase. With the legacy of four consecutive Stanley Cups in the early 1980s, we are on our way to adding to the storied tradition. Our world-class, state-of-the-art arena has gained accolades in the Long Island and Metro New York market, and we are using that home-ice advantage towards reclaiming the Stanley Cup.

How to Make the Team

Our Interns bring exceptional communication skills and a strong work ethic. This role will focus on creative thinking, organization, attention to detail and requires that the person to be able to work both collaboratively and independently to assist the entire Partnership Management department. This position also requires a high degree of personal integrity, timeliness, workload prioritization and exceptional problem-solving skills.

Show Us You Can

  • Assist in the day-to-day management of partner relationships and deliverables
  • Liaising with vendors and internal partners, such as Building and Ticket Operations, in the execution of various partnership needs/activations
  • Creation and management of deliverable trackers to help ensure flawless execution
  • Proof of performance recaps and documents to share with partners and track department success
  • Think creatively and contribute to the overall department goals
  • Work in a fast-paced environment with the ability to multi-task and collaborate

  • Prior internship experience preferred
  • Excellent writing and research skills

Where You’ll Go

The New York Islanders have offices in Floral Park, NY, as well as Manhattan. You will be asked to be in office 2-3 days per week, in addition to working in a rotation for events at UBS Arena.

  • Attending home games and other team events (events can fall on evenings, weekends, and/or holidays)
