Our Game Plan

The New York Islanders Hockey Club is one of the most iconic franchises in professional sports, with a deeply passionate and loyal fan base that is second to none. Built on a Dynasty in the 1980’s with four straight Stanley Cup Championships, our history is what will propel us into the future, confidently assuming a position of strength in the sports, entertainment, and cultural landscape.

Our home at UBS Arena at Belmont Park, which was built for hockey and made for music, cements our brand into the very foundation of New York. We have always carved our own path, and to our fans the Islanders are a way for people to be a part of something greater than themselves. To be a part of living history, with the glory of the past fueling the drive for our fifth Stanley Cup.

How to Make the Team

We are hiring a PT Office Assistant for Islanders Iceworks. If you are passionate about sports and are looking to gain experience in the sports industry, then we want to get to know you. You will report directly to the Manager of Islanders Iceworks and will engage frequently with all of our staff members, coaches and customers.

Show Us You Can

Represent and promote Islanders Iceworks in a professional and respectful manner
Provide excellent customer service both in person and over the phone
Understand and have the ability to explain all programs to prospective and existing customers
Learn and utilize our POS system to collect fees for private lessons, freestyle sessions and skate rentals
Hand out skate rentals and ensure organization of the skate rental room
Assist staff with other miscellaneous duties

Your Training & Talent

Previous office/customer service experience recommended
Knowledge of hockey and/or figure skating recommended
Ability to work approximately 15-20 hours per week. Night and weekend availability is a MUST!
Energetic and outgoing personality with a strong work ethic
Accustomed to working in a fast-paced environment with ability to multi-task
Experience with Microsoft Office

Available to work nights and weekends
