Position Summary:

This role will lead the content selection for the Game Distribution Center (GDC), which inserts content into commercial breaks and halftime of live game telecasts for the NBA App, NBA League Pass and 150+ international partners. The role will determine the creation of new content for use within the GDC and on other platforms. The role will also oversee the content curation process and will review game rundowns to ensure that they align with League strategy, and will ensure that rundowns are delivered to relevant partners & vendors.

On select nights this role will oversee Game Distribution Center operations as part of a rotation of managers. On these nights the role will work with the team of game operators to supply commercial-free, fully conditioned game broadcasts.

The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of the NBA and its content, and will have experience both as live show producer and in supervising a team of junior staff. . The ability to solve problems independently and work cross-functionally under tight deadlines while maintaining flexibility and a positive attitude in the face of evolving business challenges is a must for this role.


Major Responsibilities:

  • Supervise daily/nightly content curation process for League-controlled game streams
  • Work with editing team and other internal groups to create video and graphics
  • Supervise GDC operations as part of a nightly rotation Manage daily GDC operations to ensure daily delivery of required formats and rundowns to operators and vendor
  • Manage content strategy for commercial breaks and halftime, including overseeing creation of new content by edit team

Required Experience and Knowledge:

  • Minimum 5 years prior work experience in oversight of live broadcast productions
  • Must be available to work nights and weekends
  • Knowledge of NBA and content offerings
  • Excellent communication, writing, organization and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and follow process with great detail and accuracy

Educational Background Required:

  • Bachelor's degree required

Salary Range: $75,000 - $95,000
