Job Title: South Bay Lakers In-Arena Game Host

Department: Game Ops & Entertainment

Reports to: Director, Game Entertainment

Position Summary: The South Bay Lakers In-Arena Game Host will serve as a vital in-arena personality for all South Bay Lakers home games, including regular season and playoffs. The In-Arena Host will bring the game to life, abiding by all G-League rules and procedures and following the requests of SBL staff and sponsors.

Essential Functions (Duties & Responsibilities):

Responsible for facilitating live promotions during all South Bay Lakers home games. This includes regular season games and playoffs.
Hosting interactive contests and on-court promotions
Ensure all game entertainment, promotions, and activities are explained clearly and accurately to fans
Serve as a face of the South Bay Lakers by greeting and developing relationships with South Bay fans and season ticket members

Previous Experience:

· Prior hosting experience is a plus

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

· Must be able to memorize/recite script as well as improvise during promotions

· Must have the ability to engage/excite the crowd

· Must be able to follow strict timing and adjust when necessary

· Must demonstrate a strong presence, professionalism, and ability to work under pressure

· Must possess excellent interpersonal skills

· Must have a positive attitude and represent the brand in a professional manner

· Must be able to work with all levels of management, staff, fans, etc.

· Must be able to commit to all SBL home games

Physical Demands: Ability to lift to 20 pounds

Location: El Segundo (UCLA Health Training Center for South Bay Laker home games)

Hours: Must be available to work all South Bay Lakers home games

The pay for this role is $37.50/hour. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience and certifications
