We have an exciting opportunity for an individual to join our LFC Foundation team as a Youth Support Worker within an Apprenticeship role. In this role you will be delivering youth services in a community context that provides life-changing opportunities in the most deprived areas of Liverpool, helping to raise the self-esteem, confidence and aspirations of young people.
What will you be doing?
Who are we looking for?
To be successful in this role you must have a passion for youth work, including a passion to work within the community to help make a difference. You will have a desire to develop your skills and knowledge alongside developing young people within the community. Volunteering or youth work experience is desired, including working with vulnerable adults and young people.
You’ll have excellent communication skills as well as an understanding of building relationships. It is desired you have knowledge of planning and delivering educational youth sessions, knowledge of mentoring in a youth work context and experience in signposting young people to further opportunities. You will have an understanding of inclusive youth work practices and equality, diversity and inclusion in a youth work context, including a commitment to Liverpool FC Foundation’s mission and values.
Desired qualifications:
You will further develop your knowledge on youth work practices and the knowledge and skills above through the training on your apprenticeship.

This is a full-time fixed-term contract opportunity for a period of 20 months. This role is based in the Anfield Sports and Community Centre in Liverpool; however, the role will involve some work traveling to other locations across Merseyside.
