The Jacksonville Jaguars are a professional football team and a member of the National Football League’s AFC South Division. The Jaguars are one of the NFL’s youngest franchises, playing their first regular season home game on September 3, 1995 in Jacksonville, Florida, and have since won four division titles. Summary

This Seasonal People Operations Associate will contribute to the People Operations and People Development teams by providing human resources support, including hiring, onboarding, employee engagement, compliance, and office administration. The role will focus on generalist tasks throughout the year and have the opportunity to develop HR skills in numerous areas. Additionally, the Seasonal People Operations Associate will provide critical support leading up to the football season, such as pre-season onboarding and game day preparations. During the season, the Seasonal People Operations Associate will provide on-site gameday support in addition to People Operations daily activities.

Job Responsibilities

Talent Acquisition:

  • Assist with the hiring process for seasonal hires.
  • Send and receive applicant and employee communications including offer letters, welcome letters, seasonal orientation instructions, and onboarding documents.
  • Process pre-employment drug screenings and background checks
  • Complete Form I-9 verifications, upload documents to new hire profiles and update systems.

Employee Support:

  • Purchase and send employee gifts.
  • Schedule, confirm, and track employee lunch food trucks.
  • Facilitate system password reset for employees.
  • Provide support during gameday childcare or other gameday functions.
  • Process employment verification requests.

Administration:

  • Assist with the ordering of various supplies related to hiring and employee support.
  • Accurately key enter updates into the HRIS (Dayforce), workflow management systems, and tracking spreadsheets.
  • Provide administrative support filing, scanning, copying, inventory management, and expense management.
  • Assist with other duties and projects to support the department and the business.

Job Requirements

  • Strong interest and passion for human resources, people operations, and employee engagement
  • Must be available to work in office 28 – 30 hours per week. This is a part-time, seasonal position from May 2024 – April 2025
  • Ability to continually act with integrity and handle sensitive situations and data with utmost confidentiality and professionalism
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite and ability to easily learn other software systems
  • Positive team player with ability to be flexible and open to new tasks
  • Have received, or in pursuit of, a bachelor’s degree, with a focus on human resources
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Prior human resources or employee support experience preferred
