Pacers Sports & Entertainment is seeking a skilled front-end web developer to manage the day-to-day needs of multiple sites including Pacers.com, FeverBasketball.com, GainbridgeFieldhouse.com, PacersTeamStore.com, and PacersFoundation.org. The ideal candidate specializes in front-end development and is skilled in HTML, CSS/SCSS, JavaScript, React/Next.js and Bootstrap. PHP/WordPress, Liquid/Shopify, JSON/API, GSAP/Parallax and UI design experience is a plus.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Handle front-end development and site content management for all PS&E web properties, including but not limited to planning, UI/UX design, writing and editing content, coding and e-commerce best practices.
- Develop and launch custom websites and pages for major campaigns across all PS&E properties, including Pacers, Fever, Gainbridge Fieldhouse, Mad Ants, and the Pacers Foundation (custom coding and WordPress experience).
- Optimize the design of the sites to be mobile-first, increasing SEO and site traffic.
- Continuously optimize and improve content layout and design to increase engagement and improve fan experience.
- Conduct daily maintenance of site pages that drive ticket sales, groups, events/shows, sponsorship activations, live chats, online merchandise shopping carts, and other areas as determined.
- Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability within a mobile responsive framework.
- Collaborate with the NBA and WNBA digital teams for site management and implementation of new tools and features of league-owned sites.
- Collaborate with other outside agencies on site management and implementing new features for other web properties, mobile apps, live chats, etc.
- Provide technical support for PacersTeamStore.com e-commerce site.
- Help implement UX strategy for Pacers and Fever mobile apps.
- Will occasionally be required to work game nights for both the Pacers and Fever season, which can include nights, weekends, and occasionally holidays.
- Other duties and special projects as assigned.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

- Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university or a trade degree.
- 2 - 4 years of experience in web development and content production.
- Deep knowledge of HTML, CSS/SCSS, JavaScript, React/Next.js, and Bootstrap is required. Experience with or knowledge of PHP/WordPress, Liquid/Shopify, JSON/API, GSAP/Parallax, and design experience is a plus.
- Proficiency in Visual Studio Code, Slack, FTP client, and Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook).
- Working knowledge of SVN/GIT and ability to work within a shared code environment.
- Demonstrated experience troubleshooting within a browser console for browser and device compatibilities and application issues/errors.
- Strong familiarity with content management systems, especially WordPress.
- Excellent written communication skills required. Ability to edit written content under deadline pressure.
- Ability to write clearly for headlines and photo captions under deadline pressure.
- Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop and Illustrator for basic image editing and optimize file exports.
- Product management experience a plus, particularly with mobile apps.
- Must be able, through creative, logical and technical means, to see projects through to completion.
- Good communication skills and ability to drive cross-functional project execution; must be detail oriented.
- Familiarity with JIRA/Atlassian software.
- Up-to-date on emerging technologies and development trends.
- Strong organizational skills required to manage multiple tasks within the constraints of timelines.
- Knowledge of the Pacers/NBA, Fever/WNBA preferred.
