JOB SUMMARY

The Overnight Operations Manager manages team members during overnight/third shift to ensure accurate completion of tasks and to promote a safe work environment. This role is primarily focused in the overnight completion of house equipment set-up and performs various maintenance and housekeeping duties. In addition, this position works with Gainbridge Fieldhouse management to enhance and continuously improve current processes, so the overall operation runs smoothly and efficiently.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Train, schedule, and supervise full and part time conversion and housekeeping staff.
  • Develop quality control initiatives to maintain and improve facility organization and cleanliness.
  • Manage all contract labor partnerships and the contract labor budget to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Manage and assist in completion of house equipment set-up before events when necessary.
  • Manage and assist in set-up, and/or cleaning of, basketball floor, courtside seating, and tables,
  • Manage and assist in making ice for ice events.
  • Manage and assist in the installation of goals, hockey boards and glass, and other related equipment.
  • Manage and assist in the assembly, disassembly, and installation of staging, risers, and temporary seating.
  • Maintain a consistent focus on standardization of operational processes and produce Standard Operation Procedures (SOP) for operations tasks.
  • Understand and update setup standards with a focus on efficiencies.
  • Assist with planning and scheduling event set-ups.
  • Assist in hiring full and part-time staff when necessary.
  • Assist in the development and distribution of all safety initiatives as they relate to 3rd shift staff and vendors.
  • Continuously research standard methodologies in all relevant areas of work.
  • Plan and maintain the scheduling of miscellaneous routine maintenance tasks required quarterly and annually.
  • Perform regular audits to ensure task completion accountability for 3rd shift staff.
  • Maintain inventory of equipment offsite in storage warehouse.
  • Work with Procurement to identify contract labor partners.
  • Manage and assist the snow and ice removal from around the facility when needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.


QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • 3 years of relevant stadium/arena/venue operations experience required
  • 1 year of supervisory experience required
  • High School diploma or equivalent required


COMPUTER SKILLS:

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows products (Word, Excel, and Outlook) required.
  • Ability to quickly learn new computer software programs that are applicable to the job.

  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret directions and technical diagrams.
  • Be a confident self-starter, willing to learn from mistakes, and confidently move forward.
