Job Description

Job title: Gameday - Tailgate Ambassador Supervisor

Work Location: NRG Stadium – Houston, Texas

Essential Job Function:

β€’ Supervise an assigned number of Tailgate Ambassadors working within specific parking lots.

β€’ Provide direction, guidance, coaching, feedback, recognition and motivation for all employees supervised.

β€’ Assume responsibility for all aspects of supervision of assigned Tailgate Ambassadors.

β€’ Work all 10 home games plus 7-10 additional events or training sessions during the season.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Be a source of information for any employees or guests regarding Texans gamedays.
  • Provide gameday assignments and direction to assigned Tailgate Ambassador group employees.
  • Perform employee coaching in areas of customer service, conflict resolution and professionalism where required.
  • Take leadership role when assisting Tailgate Ambassadors in conflict resolution situations.
  • Participate in recognizing Tailgate Ambassadors and other employees for exceptional performance and exhibiting Texans habits and behaviors.
  • Evaluate and assess each employee’s attire and overall presentation to ensure it meets the professional look desired for all gameday staff and address as necessary.

  • Perform various other tasks that may be assigned from time to time by the Event Operations Coordinator, Operations and Logistics Manager, or Senior Director of Operations.
  • Subject to reasonable accommodations, position requires routine face-to-face personal interaction with other Club personnel; therefore, job responsibilities must be physically performed in the Club offices and not in a telecommuting manner.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
  • Previous customer service experience preferred.
  • Strong conflict resolution and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of, and experience in, applying best-in-class customer service principles.
  • Ability and internal drive to demonstrate a positive, winning attitude and a strong work ethic in the performance of all job responsibilities.
  • Walking around and standing for prolonged periods of time in various Club premises in and around NRG Stadium and NRG Park as may be assigned

Physical Requirements:

  • Occasional travel related to job duties and responsibilities.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 20 lbs.
  • Must be able to talk, stand, walk, sit, drive, bend, squat, climb, twist and reach as necessary.
  • Must be able to work comfortably outside in the elements, heat, cold, rain etc.
