Basic Function: Assist in the development and execution of programming that promotes the growth of youth and high school football, flag football, and coaching education.


  • Coordinate and execute all aspects of the Houston Texans NFL FLAG program.
  • Coordinate the growth and development of Texans Flag League partnerships.
  • Assist with the development of female flag football programming.
  • Maintain elementary and middle school flag football database.
  • Coordinate and execute Texans FLAG-In-Schools initiative.
  • Execute annual NFL FLAG Regional event.
  • Maintain youth football equipment and other related promotional items.
  • Assist in implementing youth outreach plans to increase the overall youth football participation in the Houston/Greater Houston area.
  • Provide support for other Football Development programs such as high school, youth, and coach education as needed.
  • Assist with the maintenance of marketing vehicle and storage areas.
  • Perform various other tasks that may be assigned from time to time by reporting to Senior Football Development Manager.

Subject to reasonable accommodations, position requires routine face-to-face personal interaction with other Club personnel; therefore, job responsibilities must be physically performed in the Club offices and not in a telecommuting manner.

Skills Required:

  • General knowledge of the objectives and rules of the game of American football.
  • Assist with duties and responsibilities related to budget allocation and resource expenditure.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a high-energy environment.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to develop solid working relationships at all levels across the organization and externally.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction to complete personal goals and as a team member to accomplish department goals.
  • Excellent attention to detail and an ability to produce high-quality, accurate work within designated deadlines.
  • Ability to maintain confidential and/or proprietary information.
  • Ability and internal drive to demonstrate a winning attitude and a strong work ethic in the performance of all job responsibilities.
  • Proficiency in use of Microsoft Office software applications.


  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year accredited college or university preferred.
  • High School Diploma required.
  • Previous events and/or youth programs experience preferred

FLSA Status: Full-Time, Non-Exempt
Department: Community Relations
Reports to: Senior Football Development Manager
