General Description
The Houston Rockets are seeking a dynamic and creative Brand Experience Coordinator with a keen understanding of brand strategy, event planning, and fan engagement to join our team. This role is essential in enhancing our brand's presence and fostering engaging experiences for our fans and community.


RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to:

  • Demonstrate our One Team philosophy of Passion, Accountability, Customer Focus, and Teamwork
  • Work all Rockets home games by planning and executing all various events, promotions and game operations duties as assigned. This includes Prime Time experiences (Groups events pregame), Lift-off Parties, Handout Groups, Placement of Giveaways in seats, etc.
  • Assist with cultivating grassroots events and promotions throughout the community to create brand awareness, excitement and connection with the Houston Rockets Team and organization. This includes Kids Club events, Road Jams (festivals and/or events), Basketball Skills camps, and more!
  • Support various departments: Community, Corporate, Ticket Sales, Services and Groups by organizing and implementing various events and promotions. This includes Power of Preparation, Be Fit, Rockets Science, Read Nation, Fantasy Basketball, Play Like the Pros, Corporate Partner Kids Clinic, Viewing Parties, Hope to Dream, Premium Wine Tasting, Open Court, Tricks and Treats in the Suites, etc.
  • Aid in preparation and/or leading various marketing events that aid in promoting the Team (including but are not limited to) NBA Draft Party, Marketing Launch campaign, Open Practice, Fan Fest, Opening Night, NBA All Star Balloting, Latin Fest, Community efforts, etc.
  • Help development and maintain budgets for the department and department events.
  • Maintenance of the various events and promotions petty cash, storage areas, equipment, Sky Court materials and promotional vehicles (Toyota Tundras and Van)
  • Maintain all promotions and special events including documentation and evaluation
  • Maintain, update and distribute organization events and promotions calendar.
  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities for part-time staff in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include hiring & training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing issues and solving problems and regularly communicating with staff
  • Plan, develop, and execute various events and promotions as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field such as Event Management, Marketing or Sports Administration.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills.
  • Deep understanding of customer service.
  • Familiarity with events and project management.
  • Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills.
  • At least one year or more experience in related field of sports brand experience.


Physical & Mental Requirements:

  • The employee is regularly required to stand, sit, walk, use handle or feel, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, communicate with others.
  • The vision requirement includes the ability to review written and electronic materials in both digital and physical format.
  • The employee must be able to transfer and move items for departmental needs.
  • The employee must be able to adjust to changing work hours and locations as needed in light of the strong focus on external communications and relationships.
