JOB SUMMARY:
This role supports the Packers Pro Shop buying department and business operations through management of wholesale business, planning and buying for special events, and assisting with special projects pertaining to the department. The Retail Buying and Wholesale Specialist is a full-time position in Green Bay, WI entailing 40 hours during the standard work week (Monday-Friday). This position requires flexibility to hours as nights/weekends and holidays may be required as needed.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage wholesale inventory levels and coordinates product assortment.
- Produce and update wholesale catalog seasonally
- Complete new wholesale customer on-boarding
- Maintain relationships with wholesale customers and special event liaisons.
- Identify new opportunities and customers for wholesale business.
- Assist distribution center on shipping and receiving of wholesale inventory.
- Build buying assortment plan for special events
- Develop merchandise business proposals for special projects
- Manage sales recaps for special events, product launches and targeted categories.
- Collaborate with special event liaisons to procure consignment product
- Assist E-Commerce Specialist with loading event items to website
- Communicate marketing goals of each project/release to retail department
- Oversee fulfillment and brand presentations of vendor co-op program.
- Assist in financial objectives by adhering to budget plans, analyzing variances.
- Develop and implement authentics program and track authenticated inventory
- Collaborate with department buyers on best practices and proper assortments as it pertains to use of the Cheesehead for internal and wholesale products.
- Assist Director with oversight on trademark rights and infringements
- Assist Buying Manager on daily organization of custom orders and inventory
- Work collaboratively with multiple departments within the organization and retail department.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, game days and special events.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Recent college graduate majoring in business, fashion merchandising, marketing, sales, or other relevant field preferred.
- Experience with other retail business, sports franchise, or sports organization helpful, but not required.
- Retail buying experience preferred, industry experience and knowledge acceptable
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, including ability to work within high profile organization.
- Ability to prepare business insights and produce business plans under the guidance of manager.
- Strong problem solving, analytical, and project management skills with attention to detail.
- Able to multi-task and manage workload effectively.
- Must be an independent self-starter with a sense of urgency, proven results orientation, initiative, and an affinity for producing high-quality work in a manner which exceeds expectations.
- Able to work collaboratively with peers and able to identify and navigate workflow issues.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills including knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Ability to use Photoshop, Canva or other creative software a plus.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
- Ability to reach, stoop, climb ladder, and lift on a frequent basis.
- Lifting 35 lbs. frequently and up to 50 lbs. on occasion.
- Ability to walk, stand, and sit for extended periods of time.
- Work occasionally entails working outdoors in the elements (heat, cold).
- Occasional flight/car travel is a possibility
- Operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment.
