We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Content Producer to capture and produce content for our Phoenix Mercury social & digital channels. This role will be pivotal in the on daily coverage of our team, players, fans and the WNBA as a whole. The ideal applicant must have a passion for women’s basketball, strong knowledge of video production, and a problem-solving mentality.

What You Will Do:

Document the team and player’s journey throughout the season, showcasing both on-court and off-court experiences
Capture and edit engaging practice, game and travel videos for social media to showcase team highlights and player stories.
Be a key member of the collaborative social team, monitoring social media trends and audience preferences to brainstorm new types of content creation
Develop social-first video series that tell unique stories about players, coaches, and the community, enhancing fan connection and engagement.

What We Need From Our Content Producer:

Proven experience in social-first video production and content creation, preferably in basketball or a similar fast-paced environment.
Experience in all aspects of video production, filming, lighting, and audio.
Strong storytelling skills, with an ability to craft compelling narratives from raw footage.
Familiarity with social media platforms and best practices for content distribution.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with players and team staff.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to cover both home and away games.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

Experience/ Education Requirements:

Undergraduate degree preferred.
2-3 years of video production experience. Experience in sports is preferred.

This position works mainly indoors, removed from extreme weather; exposure to weather is <5%
