Scooter’s Coffee Frisco Bowl Business Operations Internship – Spring 2025

All internships for the Frisco Bowl are unpaid internships and must be used to receive college credit from an accredited university. The internship allows the individual to gain valuable experience with a professional organization for their future in the sports, entertainment, marketing, and business industry. All candidate hours can be flexible to accommodate with your school or work schedule. Some nights, weekends, and holidays may be required.

The Frisco Bowl is looking for a Business Operations Intern to assist the team with finance and other business operation initiatives in regard to the bowl game. The intern will report to the Executive Director and assist with day to day objectives of the bowl game. The internship will take place from January – May 2025.

What you’ll do:

  • Assist accounting department with financial settlements for ESPN and NCAA
  • Process check requests, invoices, and payments ensuring all appropriate approvals have been received
  • Create purchase orders via NetSuite
  • Update financial binders and reports
  • Communicate with co-workers, management, clients, vendors and others in a courteous and professional manner
  • Scanning and filing of contracts
  • Inventory control of programs, souvenir helmets, sponsor tickets
  • Assist auditors with business operations audit
  • Assist with the management of budgets
  • Assist with updating reports and inventory spreadsheets
  • Assist with operational needs
  • Additional duties as necessary

You are:

  • Energetic, a self-starter, and confident student.
  • Collaborative, innovative and able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Able to handle multiple priorities and simultaneous projects
  • Required to be able to work a flexible schedule that may include some nights, weekends and holidays based on event schedule.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be an active college student. Preferably pursuing a degree and/or career in finance, accounting or business-related area
  • Must receive college credit for internship with our company
  • Must be able to work 20 hours per week
  • Excellent interpersonal plus verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point are a must
