Reporting organizationally to the Head of Workforce, the Manager, Workforce will be a key member of the FIFA26 Workforce team, and work in close collaboration with the Workforce & Administration teams of CAN, MEX, FIFA Zurich and other key individuals responsible for delivering the growth of the FIFA26 organization.

THE POSITION

The main responsibilities and oversights of the Workforce Manager for the FIFA World Cup 26™ include:

• Develop and implement workforce planning strategies to ensure the organization has the right talent in the right roles at the right time.
• Collaborate with key stakeholders to forecast workforce needs based on tournament requirements and operational demands.
• Recruitment and Selection:
• Lead the recruitment and selection process for all workforce positions, including volunteers, contractors, and staff.
• Develop job descriptions, advertise vacancies, screen applicants, and conduct interviews to identify suitable candidates.
• Design and implement onboarding programs to welcome new workforce members and familiarize them with FIFA26 policies, procedures, and culture.
• Coordinate training initiatives to equip workforce members with the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
• Oversee workforce management activities, including scheduling, rostering, and deployment of workforce members across various functional areas and venues.
• Monitor workforce performance and provide ongoing support and guidance to ensure productivity and engagement.
• Ensure compliance with relevant employment laws, regulations, and FIFA policies in all workforce-related activities.
• Manage workforce administration tasks, such as contracts, payroll, and benefits administration, in collaboration with HR and administration teams.
• Communication and Stakeholder Engagement:
• Serve as the primary point of contact for workforce-related inquiries and concerns, fostering positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Communicate workforce updates, policies, and procedures effectively to ensure clarity and alignment across the organization.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and innovation in workforce management practices.
• Collect feedback from workforce members and stakeholders to inform future initiatives and enhance the overall workforce experience.
• Risk Management:
• Identify potential risks and challenges related to workforce management and develop mitigation strategies to address them proactively.
• Respond to workforce-related crises or emergencies promptly and effectively to minimize impact on tournament operations.
• Performance Evaluation and Reporting:
• Establish performance metrics and evaluation frameworks to assess the effectiveness of workforce management efforts.
• Prepare regular reports and updates on workforce-related activities, highlighting key achievements, challenges, and areas for improvement.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration:
• Collaborate with other functional areas within FIFA26, such as Venue Operations, Event Services, and Security, to ensure seamless integration and coordination of workforce activities.
• Participate in cross-functional meetings and working groups to support the overall success of the tournament.
• These responsibilities and oversights are crucial for the Workforce Manager to effectively manage and optimize the FIFA World Cup 26™ workforce, contributing to the successful delivery of the event.

Work Experience
• Minimum of 5 years of work experience in comparable role in an international, fast-paced environment, preferability in the events and/or sports industry.
• Strong knowledge of modern CRM, Applicant Tracking Systems, and technologies used to attract, nurture, and manage a pipeline of talent.
• Expertise in using various social media platforms to advance traction on sourcing of key roles.
• Demonstrated ability to project manage, prioritize effectively, and work independently.
• Ability to provide examples where excellent client service skills and the capacity to facilitate the needs of multiple business units has served you well in your career to date.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Demonstrable adaptability and examples of where you’ve acted as a facilitator and/or negotiator.
• Experience working within a multicultural and or multinational organisation.
