Reporting organisationally to the Director of Brand & Marketing (FIFA26, Miami) and the Head of Digital Marketing (FIFA, Zurich), the Senior Digital Marketing Manager will be a key member of the FIFA26 Brand & Marketing team, and work in close collaboration with the Digital Marketing team in Zurich and other key individuals responsible for managing, planning and delivering digital marketing campaigns for major global sporting events like the FIFA Club World Cup 2025 and FIFA World Cup 2026.
THE POSITION
The main responsibilities and oversights of the Senior Content Manager for the FIFA World Cup 26™ include:
- Develop, implement, and manage digital marketing strategies across social media, mobile apps, and websites.
- Coordinate with FIFA’s global digital marketing team to ensure alignment with overall brand strategies and objectives.
- Collaborate with Host Cities, commercial affiliates, and broadcasters to amplify digital campaigns.
- Oversee the creation, curation, and distribution of engaging digital content that resonates with global audiences.
- Ensure all content meets FIFA’s brand guidelines and maintains a consistent tone of voice.
- Monitor and analyze the performance of digital campaigns using various analytics tools.
- Provide regular reports and insights to the global team and other stakeholders.
- Optimize campaigns based on data-driven insights to improve engagement and conversion rates.
- Serve as the primary digital marketing liaison between the Zurich-based global team and the US-based event teams.
- Maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
- Support commercial affiliates and host cities with tailored digital marketing strategies to enhance local engagement.
- Stay updated with the latest digital marketing trends and technologies.
- Propose and implement innovative digital strategies to enhance fan engagement and experience.
YOUR PROFILE
- Bachelor’s degree or similar level of higher education
- Proven experience in managing large-scale digital marketing campaigns, preferably in sports or entertainment and in the North American market.
- Strong understanding of social media platforms, mobile app marketing, and web content management.
- Proficiency in using digital analytics tools (e.g., Adobe Analytics, social media analytics platforms such as Sprinklr).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
- Fluent in English. Spanish and/or French proficiency is a plus
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio & Project) and planning software and online collaboration tools.
