Head of Event Content & Talent, FIFA World Cup 2026

Reporting organisationally to the Executive Director, Events and Entertainment the Head of Event Content & Talent will be a key member of the FIFA26 Events and Entertainment team, and work in close collaboration with the Head of Event Production, Head of Event Delivery, and other key individuals responsible for delivering the most engaging, innovative, and accessible World Cup experience for all athletes, fans, partners, and the community.

THE POSITION

The main responsibilities and oversights of the Head of Event Content & Talent for the FIFA World Cup 26™ include:

• Project Participation: Plan and manage the delivery of the day-to-day content and Talent Project Plan and Milestones.
• Event Coordination: Plan and manage all event content and talent details, internal alignment, broadcast and event delivery, and approval processes.
• Scopes of Work (SoW): Plan, Research, prepare and manage Scopes of Work (SoW) for various content and talent project components.
• Procurement Support: Plan and participate in the procurement process, including evaluation, briefing, and liaison with Agencies, variation tracking, legacy handover, and invoice payment.
• Policy and Procedure Contributions: Plan and contribute to the development of Policies and Procedures, Project Charters, and C4 planning.
• Venue Documentation: Plan, contribute and manage the preparation of talent venue space and client journey documentation, such as Site Operational Plans (SOP’s).
• Briefing and Call Sheets: Plan, prepare and manage briefings and call sheets for talent, agencies, broadcast, and media services.
• Stakeholder Liaison: Plan and liaise with relevant stakeholders on all planning, development, and delivery of content and talent needs.
• On Venue Liaison: Plan and collaborate with on the on-venue team to align content and talent needs.
• Talent Coordination: Plan, manage and collaborate with the on-venue team to align talent delivery requirements, ensuring alignment with Event Operations, including accreditation, access, transport, catering, travel, visas, accommodation, permits, etc.
• Content Production: Plan, manage and collaborate on content design, development, and production, ensuring alignment with on-venue, broadcast or presentation requirements, including but not limited to formats, pixel counts, etc.
• Integration and Archival: Ensure integration in delivery alongside retrieval and archival processes for final content.
• Content Preparation: Prepare and manage all content production materials, including storyboards, run sheets, scripts, translations, etc.
• Technical Coordination: Manage and liaise with technical teams, broadcast regarding inputs, playback, and outputs of all content.
• Talent Requirements: Manage and coordinate with technical teams, broadcast on talent technical riders.
• Back of House (BoH) Requirements: Coordinate and manage with event operations teams on all talent BoH riders.
• Creative Integrity: Ensure creative integrity and integration across all event deliveries.
• Rehearsal Management: Oversee and manage rehearsal scheduling for talent and content, approvals, and alignment.
• Filing Systems and Processes: Manage and collaborate on all content and talent filing systems and processes, including TOK, Dissolution Planning, and Legacy handover.
• Staff Support and Mentorship: Provide support and mentorship to staff, fostering their growth and effectiveness.
• Reporting and Presentations: Prepare detailed reporting and presentations.
• Ad Hoc Duties: Perform all other duties in line with the project role as requested.

YOUR PROFILE

• Bachelor’s Degree or similar level of higher education or equivalency in industry experience.
• Subject matter or role specific expertise.
• Minimum 10 - 12 years of experience in a similar role.
• Proven track record in managing complex projects in sporting multi-venue mega events. (Experience working on FIFA events an advantage).
• Experience in working in large event services and venue teams.
• Experience in working with sporting organizations & governing bodies.
• Experience in working with Sport Presentation/Infotainment teams.
• Experience working with a range of Broadcast and Media services.
• Experience with and respect for cultural protocols and practices.
• Fluent in English. Spanish and/or French proficiency is a plus
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio & Project), planning software and online collaboration and project planning tools e.g., Asana, Monday, WeTrack, etc.
• Understanding of design tools, e.g., InDesign etc.
• Strong understanding of the processes of content production and formats including but not limited to vision, graphics, headshots, and audio production.
• Able to interpret plans and drawings e.g., CAD’s, BIM360, etc.
• Understanding of digital media.
• Passion for understanding latest trends, technologies, and innovations.
