Product Coordinator โ Hourly
81Eighty is seeking a Product Coordinator, part-time/hourly. This role requires candidates to possess high organizational skills, time-management, attention to detail and have an all-around positive attitude. We are looking for candidates that are open to learning and growing in the apparel design industry, while being an actively contributing teammate to our team and company goals.
Responsibilities
- Daily communication with overseas factory partners to provide sample tracking & receiving reports to design team members and Design Manager.
- Organize and catalog all incoming and outgoing samples, ensuring that garments are kept orderly, labeled and accounted for.
- Own and maintain sample tracks in WFX, working together with Project Manager to ensure alignment cross functionally.
- Working closely with Technical Designers to prepare weekly โwork-in-progressโ status reports of all garments, completed promptly by end of day Friday.
- Assist with client meeting preparation by arranging garments, steaming, printing presentations and other miscellaneous tasks.
- Assist Product Developer in creating garment tech packs by setting up items in the PLM (Product Life Management) system.
- Assist Design Manager with sketching flat garment mock-ups as guided.
- Assist Design Manager with making updates to presentation decks as guided.
- Assist with other various design team tasks as needed.
Qualification Requirements
- Experience in technical design, apparel design, patternmaking, fabric development and/or any other related field a plus.
- Degree, or pursuit of, in apparel design, manufacturing, product development or apparel design related field.
- Ability to dedicate 20 minimum โ 28 maximum hours/weekly, Monday-Friday. Mandatory Tuesday โ Wednesday in office.
- Experience in Adobe Suite with an emphasis in Adobe Illustrator.
- Experience with flat garment sketching.
- Strong organizational and time management skills while maintaining high detailed, high-volume work.
- Self-starter with strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Dedication and commitment with the ability to learn new skills and adapt to changes.
