Scouting Analyst

Overview

Columbus Crew is searching for an experienced Scouting Analyst. This role will connect all video functions, allowing deeper and more formative analysis. This individual will be responsible for the creation and development of the club's video analysis process to support scouting and recruitment. Within this role, the individual should be prepared to create and execute video product at a professional level to support the player identification and assessment process. This will involve providing insight through video analysis, developing respectful relationships with colleagues and displaying a deep passion for the game.

Responsibilities

The Scouting Analyst shall provide the following services to the Club:

• Create and manage the clubs’ video analysis process to support the scouting department.
• Create and develop a video database of target players in alignment with club player profiles.
• Use software to create professional player videos to be presented to the Technical Director and General Manager.
• Support the scouting team by making player reports.
• Contribute to the due diligence process through detailed player research, injury auditing biographical analysis, and social media research.
• Collaborate with the soccer analytics department to support the player identification and analysis process.

• Use the clubs’ internal database to update and maintain internal club processes; player profile updates, individual profile best practice and club playing style video.
• Provide loan player monitoring and video feedback.

Requirements

· Experience working in professional soccer within an analysis related role, experience of working within scouting & recruitment is desirable.

· Expert in the use of industry leading video analysis tools such as WyScout, Tactic Pro, and HUDL.

· Experience of applying data to support player identification and assessment process.

· Video editing and presentation skills.

• Knowledge of MLS.
